Job Description
We are seeking a Manager of Teasury to support all aspects of the Company’s Treasury activities. The Manager of Treasury should be a leader who can work with the Treasurer and Company leadership to help build a treasury management functor to strategically address the businesses short and long term treasury needs.

The Manager will be a key leader in esVolta’s Treasury department covering Treasury Planning, Cash Management, Banking, financial risk management/trading treasury needs, the corporate Credit Card program, and treasury hedging/risk management.  The Manager, Treasury will help make informed and intelligent decisions about all ongoing Treasury initiatives. The Manager will report to esVolta’s Treasurer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the company’s treasury management strategy, ensuring adequate liquidity to support operational needs and capital projects.
  • Develop and manage Treasury liquidity forecasts, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of liquidity needs with debt and equity capital inflows.
  • Monitor daily cash positions and manage short-term funding needs, ensuring efficient use of available capital across the business.
  • Lead a process for identification and ultimate implementation of systems to improve efficiency in overall treasury management and operations, including implementation of a Treasury Management System
  • Work with Structured Finance team to support structured debt and tax equity transactions for large-scale projects, including the negotiation, structuring, and documentation of financing arrangements.
  • Support the company’s long-term capital strategy, ensuring debt and equity financing is aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Manage debt and interest rate risk management activities by working with Treasurer, Structured Finance, and CFO.   Also, support develop treasury interfaces for Company’s Physical and Financial Risk Management trading business.
  • Maintain relationships with Banks for Cash Management and Treasury activities, including overseeing integration of systems between banks and esVolta.
  • Oversee outgoing wire payments, check and ACH for various transactions including property acquisitions, development, construction, recording fees, credit facility payments, short-term cash investments, distributions to investors.
  • Provide oversight and evaluation of company banking needs including managing administration of company accounts and access.
  • Ensure best and safe investment options for cash including T Bills, bank time deposits Commercial Paper programs etc.
  • Manage corporate credit card and expense reimbursement programs under Treasurer’s guidance.
  • Maintain esVolta’s Treasury Dashboard, do performance measurement and communicate to Senior Management and to Shareholders on a periodic basis.

Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in managing all Treasury aspects (Cash, LCs, Guarantees, debt risk management, Banking, Credit Card programs etc.) across the company.
  • Renewable industry (energy storage sector) experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Finance; A Certified Treasury Professional (by AFP) is a huge plus. 
  • A deep understanding of various Treasury portals and Banking systems is essential.
  • Experience in a cross-functional environment, working closely with finance, Accounting, development, operations, and construction departments.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a vibrant environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence partners and key business decisions.
  • Tech savvy with strong working knowledge treasury management systems and MS Office, including demonstrable expertise with Excel and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Self-starter with natural curiosity, enthusiasm, desire to learn and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Be a key leader in Treasury team, including, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that supports the company’s expanding operations.

Compensation and Benefits
The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.

 
Salary: $140,000Bonus: 20%

Location
This position is classified as remote; however, periodic travel to company offices, project sites, or other meeting locations may be required on an as-needed basis.
