Job Description
We are seeking motivated and energetic candidates to join our team as Development Operations Manager. The Manager will serve as the operational lead within the project development function of a fast-paced energy storage IPP. This role focuses on driving business process efficiency, implementing scalable systems, improving data transparency, and supporting project teams through standardized reporting and KPI tracking.
A core part of this role is overseeing the integration and use of Sitetracker, the company’s ERP and project tracking platform, ensuring the tool is fully leveraged to enhance visibility, workflow automation, and operational performance across the project pipeline.

The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
Location
This position is classified as remote; however, periodic travel to company offices, project sites or other meeting locations may be required on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Process Improvement
- Design, implement, and refine scalable processes and internal controls to streamline project development workflows across all project stages.
- Champion the adoption of best practices for operational efficiency, document management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies, leveraging tools and automation where possible.
KPI Tracking & Portfolio Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards and portfolio-level reports to monitor key development metrics (e.g., milestone completion, permitting status, interconnection progress, budget adherence).
- Lead performance reviews with project teams and senior leadership, using data from Sitetracker and other sources to inform decisions.
- Create feedback loops that align daily operations with long-term business goals.
Financial Oversight & Budget Management
- Collaborate with development leads and finance teams to build and monitor project-level and portfolio-level budgets.
- Use Sitetracker to track budget performance and identify cost overruns, underutilized resources, or schedule risks.
- Support capex planning, cost forecasting, and internal financial reporting needs.
- Led cross-functional collaboration to produce investor reports, incorporating learning elements to enhance financial literacy and regulatory awareness among teams.
ERP & Tools Management (Sitetracker Focus)
- Serve as the internal Sitetracker platform lead, managing configurations, user training, and continuous improvement of the system.
- Ensure consistent usage and data integrity across project teams, and work with Sitetracker admins or consultants on system enhancements.
- Build custom reports and workflows within Sitetracker to meet evolving business needs.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Facilitate coordination among project development, finance, engineering, land, legal, and executive teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of development milestones.
- Created and refined onboarding materials and process improvements across HR, Procurement, and Legal, ensuring efficient knowledge transfer and compliance with company policies.
- Support diligence, documentation, and process tracking for project handoffs to execution or M&A teams.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in project operations, business process optimization, or program management within the energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience managing project KPIs, operational reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with Sitetracker or similar project/asset management platforms (e.g., Salesforce-based tools, Primavera, Smartsheet).
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with utility-scale energy development processes (renewables, storage, thermal).
- Lean Six Sigma or other process optimization certification.
- Experience training teams and managing change related to system adoption or operational shifts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive reporting and stakeholder engagement.
Compensation and Benefits
The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
Salary: $150,000 | Bonus: 25% |
