Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst for the FP&A team to develop, refine, and optimize financial analysis and reporting to help the Company make informed and intelligent decisions about energy storage project development, investment and financing opportunities. The Senior Analyst will report to the company’s Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and consolidating the Company’s budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting
  • Support development, maintenance, and updates to the corporate model
  • Play a key role in submitting monthly financial models to senior management in a timely fashion with focus on accuracy
  • Support the Company’s annual planning process
  • Support the preparation and presentation of monthly financial results and related variance analysis – including, but not limited to, portfolio performance reporting, OpCo financial performance reporting, liquidity forecast reporting, financial covenant calculations, capital expense reporting
  • Support implementation of FP&A reporting tools to enhance reporting and planning capabilities and efficiencies
  • Play an active role in liaising cross-functionally with Business Development, EPC, Asset Management, Project Finance and Accounting teams to update FP&A models and reports
  • Critically analyze project model results, evaluate and make recommendations to optimize project and investment performance, including with respect to optimizing financial structure, revenue generation, and cost competitiveness
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as necessary

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline is required. Master’s degree in finance, business or a related field is a plus
  • 5-8 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis, with demonstrated understanding of the renewable energy sector is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting methods, and familiarity with accounting software preferred
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • High degree of curiosity, willingness to learn, being a team player is highly encouraged.
  • Advanced skills in Excel with experience in complex, renewable finance modelling experience is desired. Ability to manage various data sources into organized financial reports
  • Experience in reporting system/tool implementation is a plus
  • Ability to perform all aspects of work with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, effectiveness, and efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate complex financial results to all levels of management

Compensation and Benefits
The actual salary and bonus offered will depend on the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Location
This position is classified as remote; however, periodic travel to company offices, project sites or other meeting locations may be required on an as-needed basis.
